a fresh face for find.coop

April 2012

There's a lot going on at the data commons these days.  On the organizational side, the steering committee is patiently working through the details of how the Data Commons Cooperative should operate.  On the tech side, our volunteers have been figuring out how to improve the visibility of the cooperative economy through a series of code sprints.  Ben Mauer of Quilted has done some great work laying out a graphical vision for find.coop (see mock-ups).  Benjamin Bradley of wegeekout and Gaia Host has improved the usability of the existing site, fixing bugs and glitches that you'll never need to know about.  It is a thankless job for which we thank him!  Paul Fitzpatrick along with the two Benjamins has been thinking hard about categorization.  We're all grateful to the folks at Cultivate.coop for letting us organize our code sprints on their wiki!
